#### Job Description

Applications Engineers at Locix work with our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to help find the right solution for customers, providing technical guidance for a solution through configuration, deployment and operations for our IoT based logistics solutions, including SmartLPS™ and SmartDock™. You must be an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, dedicated and ready to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member at a fast-growing startup, you’ll also be expected to fill in where necessary to ensure the success of each engagement. The position requires strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Working closely with all functions of the company, this is an ideal starting point for continued career growth within Locix.

#### Education and Experience

- BS in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering (or other technical degree)
- 2+ years of experience
- Experience interacting directly with customers and/or partners, such as sales, consulting, or related roles
- Experience with IoT platforms and/or products (firmware, connectivity, cloud)
- Experience with international customers and/or partners a plus

#### Skills/Abilities

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge; capable of understanding a complex platform and technical architecture and the relationships between the individual components
- Knowledge of REST APIs and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc)
- Functional use of Linux OS’s
- Networking experience (wireless networking deployments, testing, etc)
- Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills
- Up to 50% travel (domestic and internationally), on an as-needed basis
- Self-starter, self-managing, and results-oriented
